French Lop Shop Rabbitry is located in Northern Colorado. I began raising French Lop rabbits in 2011. I have dedicated the purpose of my rabbitry to raising high quality show and breeding rabbits. My goal is to breed, raise and sell French Lops who closer represent the ARBA standard of the French Lop breed. .

 

I actively show my rabbits in the ARBA shows throughout Colorado and the neighboring states. I find that hearing the results and comments from the judges assists me in learning more about the breed. Also having the judges opinions helps me determine what qualities to bread into my lines. There is a very close knit community that come along with showing rabbits. The other people in the hobby are willing to teach others about their passion and welcoming to new members. Growing up in an environment like this has helped me learn the value of helping others and letting others help you. 

 

Mentoring youth in learning to care for and show rabbits has become an important aspect of my mission. It is important to promote my breed through being involved in ARBA and local 4-H programs. It is the youth of the hobby that are going to be able to continue it in the future when the rest of us are gone. I find it important to pass on my knowledge and interest within the breed to other breeders and new owners.
